Court Hire

Writhlington Sports Centre has four indoor badminton courts available for hire. Courts are available for hire Monday to Friday from 17.00 to 22.00 and Saturday and Sunday from 9.00 to 18.00 from just £4.90 per court per hour!! Rackets are available for hire at £1.00 per racket. Shuttlecocks cannot be hired but are sold at £1.50 each. Please contact reception on 01761 438559 for bookings or further details.

There are two resident badminton clubs at Writhlington Sports Centre, Writhlington Badminton Club and Norton Radstock Badminton Club. Both clubs operate independently and are great for people who don't have suitable opponents or for those looking for a club environment.

Writhlington Badminton Club

Tuesdays 8 – 10.30pm (suitable for Intermediate and advanced players).

Writhlington Badminton Club is a friendly club where badminton is serious but not too serious with emphasis on enjoyment of playing the game. It only costs £4 per session, with a 25% discount if you pay per term. Writhlington Badminton Club play all year round.

Norton Radstock Badminton Club

Monday 7 – 10pm and Thursday 7 – 9pm (suitable for beginners and intermediate).

This is a very popular club operating a waiting list at present however vacancies do occur throughout the year so please call if interested to register your name. Children from 14 years are also welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Cost per term is £25 for adults, £15 for juniors.
