Climbing Wall
An 8 meter high, 14 top rope indoor climbing wall. Grades range from 4 (beginner) to 7A (advanced). Grading is very subjective and is therefore provided as a guide only. Grading can be different between indoor climbing centres. Lead climbing is not permitted on our climbing wall at present.
OPEN SESSIONS
The climbing wall is open for unsupervised climbing on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm – 10.00pm. Additional open sessions will be offered later in the year. These sessions are suitable for competent and experienced ADULT (18 or over) climbers only. Climbers who wish to climb during these sessions must complete a registration form and a short induction on their first visit. These do not have to be booked. A registered user card will then be issued which must be shown on each visit to gain access to the wall.
Registered users can sign in a maximum of 2 guests per visit. Guests must be aged 7 years or 
older. A separate guest form will need to be completed. Registered users who sign in under 18’s who are not their children MUST have permission from their parent and will need to complete a form stating this. Registered adults users who sign in 2 inexperienced guests will only be required to pay 2 entry fees and will not be charged for their own entry. This only applies to inexperienced guests where the registered user is required to remain on the ground to supervise safe belaying. The full entry charge will be applicable if one or more of the guests are experienced ADULT climbers where the registered user intends to climb themselves.
Under 18 users cannot at this stage access unsupervised sessions without an adult registered user.

Junior Courses
Taster Sessions - We are running two 5 day intensive junior climbing sessions for children aged 6 -15 years over the summer holidays. Click on the holiday activity page and download our summer holiday leaflet for further details.
Term time courses will be running on Tuesday and Thursday from September 21st for 5 weeks as follows. Maximum of 9 students to one instructor.
4.00 – 5.00pm Children aged 6 -9 years
5.00 – 6.00pm Children aged 10 – 15 years

Beginner Course – These sessions will concentrate more on teaching children how to belay safely and give more technical advice on good climbing technique. Beginner courses will run in 10 week blocks. The next beginner course will be running week commencing 1st November on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as follows

5.00 – 6.00pm Children aged 10 – 15 years

Adult Courses
Beginner Course – Suitable for people with little or no experience. These sessions will introduce novice climbers to this exciting leisure activity. This 10 week course will give you the climbing skills required to attend unsupervised climbing sessions during open sessions. Climbers who complete this course will be fully registered and issued with a registered users card. Children aged 16 and 17 will be able to access this course as long as a parental consent form is completed.
Next course running from Wednesday 6th October 6.30 – 7.30pm or Thursday 7th October from 7.30 – 8.30pm

Refresher Course – Suitable for with some experience who wish to brush up on their skills. This 10 week course will give you the chance to practice skills under the supervision of a qualified instructor. Children aged 16 and 17 will be able to access this course as long as a parental consent form is completed.
