Gymnastics

Our gymnastic programme has a development path taking children from basic movement right through to development and competition level. Gymnastics underpins all other sports as it offers such a wide range of body management skills. Children will work through the British Gymnastics award scheme whilst they are improving areas such as balance, strength, co-ordination, flexibility, body awareness and control, good posture, good physical development and improved fitness. All classes are taken by British Gymnastics qualified instructors. We run pre-school and recreational gymnastics for children from crawling to 3 years (pre-school) and 4 to 16 years (recreation).

Cost

Members £3.60 per class

Non Members £4.60 per class

Please note classes run in 10 week blocks and must be paid for in advance. Children can start classes at any point throughout a 10 week block as long as there is space. The cost will therefore vary depending on which week the child starts. Please contact reception on 01761 438559 for further details and bookings.

Clothing

Children will need to wear comfortable sports clothing avoiding clothes with buckles, poppers, zips or hoods. Children will work in bear feet, skirts are NOT permitted. Jewellery is also NOT permitted in any of our classes for safety reasons. Children with long hair will be asked to tie it back.

Feedback on Children's progress

We allow a 10 minute change over time between lessons for parents to briefly speak to their child's coach if there any queries regarding their progress. Coaches carry out an ongoing assessment during each class and children's progress is recorded on the group badge charts located on the wall inside the gymnastics hall.

Try a Session for Free

That's right we let children try one session for free to see if they like it before any commitment is made to signing up and paying for a course (subject to availability).
