Cricket Nets

There are four indoor and four outdoor cricket nets avaialble for hire. A bowling machine is also available for hire (indoor only). Nets can be hired throughout the year from 5.00 - 10.00pm Monday - Friday and 9.00am - 6.00pm Saturday and Sunday from just £14.00 per net per hour.

Cricket Coaching

Writhlington Cricket Development in partnership with Somerset Cricket Board are offering children the chance to access specialist high quality cricket coaching. Our coaching programme designed specifically for club players and delivered by Somerset County Cricket Board accredited ECB qualified coaches, will assist the most talented young cricketers to achieve the skills necessary to take the next step in their development as a player. The purpose of this programme is to help players achieve District and County level representation.

These sessions are only available to children aged 10 - 15 years who are already involved in a local cricket club. This programme designed to complement coaching already undertaken in clubs will only run in the autumn and winter months from September to April on Wednesdays from 4.30 - 6.00pm.

One-to-one Coaching

With a pool of highly qualified cricket coaches on hand Writhlington Sports Centre can offer one-to-one hourly coaching sessions for players of all ages and abilities. These sessions will be tailored to the needs of the individual player, with this one-on-one input proving to be the best way for any cricketer to undertake rapid improvement. Sessions are available for adults, young county cricketers, or players of any age with limited experience.

One to one sessions are currently available Saturday mornings from 9.30 - 10.30am.
