Passport to Health

Passport to health

Passport to Health is a local referral scheme targeting inactive or sedentary individuals with one or more health related risk factors.

The scheme is a joint partnership between Bath & North East Somerset Council, the Primary Care Trust and local leisure providers and gives its participants the opportunity to get active and stay active with a little help and support from fully trained referral consultants.

Writhlington Sports Centre offers a varied programme of activities for individuals referred to the scheme. With your Passport to Health card you can start on the road to regular activity by trying out anything from the gym, with expert supervision, to yoga, aerobics or even zumba!

The course lasts for 12 weeks and includes all pre and post programme assessments (which are free of charge). Participants are also invited to attend a Motivational Lifestyle Programme to help them on their way to establishing healthy lifestyle habits to prevent ill health in the future.

If you would like any more information about the scheme, pick up a leaflet from reception or speak to a member of staff.

All participants must be referred by a healthcare professional. Please speak to your GP or practice nurse, or contact the Scheme Co-ordinator on 01225 396427 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
